Ron Put
Thanks, Mike, I saw this on Youtube. It appears that it's a linear relationship, no? I didn't see a study including consumption of more than 55g per day, but looking at mine, I am usually between 60g and 80g a day, some days going over 100g... Who knows if it's beneficial, but I enjoy what I eat (lots of whole carbs, close to 70%).
Mike Lustgarten
Mostly linear, but even the non-linear model (red spline) is statistically significant. Unfortunately, > 50g/d is rarely used in RCTS (only 3 over the past 20y), but this study suggests that it should be used more often. Same here with fiber-I'm currently averaging 80-85g/d.
