I wasn't aware of the toxicity issue with cinnamon. I'll look into it more versus the benefits. Thanks!

 

For cold exposure, I still have some questions on it, but I'll post them into the discussion here on the forum about it rather than take this thread further off topic haha

Miraenda, I don't take cinnamon as a supplement or use it in forced large quantities.  But it's become a common seasoning for me along with tumeric, ginger, fenugreek, garlic and others each with reported good health effects including improving insulin sensitivity.  And I've found I love combinations of these strong savory flavors with higher fat foods.

 

I love berries of all kinds, especially blueberries.  But I've found I can't eat many blueberries and stay in ketosis while eating my regular level of protein.  But I do week long pseudo fasts when I restrict protein and fat and during those periods I can indulge in more berries and other foods with what I believe are healthy carbs.  I tend to do that after exercise and 2 to 3 hours before bed because for me that minimizes post meal induced hunger I otherwise experience when indulging in carbs.
