Attachments limit

Under my profile I see:

1 MB?! Can that be increased? For everyone? Maybe for certain users? I'm going to want to blow by that in the near future with my third nut post.

It is strange why the default is so low.

 

I direct messaged Tim to get my attachment limit raised a while ago. Mine is now 1 GB :-).

I changed the low default to 50 MB.  Not quite at Dean's level.

 

It is a "Member Group" setting and Lifetime is at the 1 GB level (and Supporting, Founding, admins/mod groups - although each member group can have its own limit).
