paulgfoster
just wondered why as a member if I click on a members name it states you are not permitted to view other member profiles? Also I appreciate on here that I can click on the pm tab to send a private message to a member but how can I contact a member who hasn't posted on this site yet, that I used to correspond with and lost their email address when my computer self destructed. This person posted in the old archives but when I click on their name there the old archives are in read only format. Any help appreciated, Paul Foster ps incidentally the help section here says to access members click on the member section at the top of every page, but I have no pages with a member tab.....and if I do find the member it wont allow me access to their profile or anyone else's, so I go around in circles! timc
The "Help" section is generic in that it is written assuming a default installation where lots of information is available by default (here is an example). The error you saw - "You are not permitted to view member profiles." - I'll look into how that can be redirected to show the member's forum posts which is at least helpful (and we ought to remove/change the inaccurate "Help" advice). You can email to whichever list you saw the archived post in (e.g., click for the CR Society or CR Community lists). Link to comment
Linda6214
Hi Everyone, I'd like to introduce myself. I am new to the CR Society as of today. I am 49, 5"4 and feel best at 114, BMI of 19. I can consume 1000 calories a day and lose but only 1200 to maintain. Period. I exercise every day and I never adjust calorie intake based on exercise. It is already factored in for me. Staying trim takes more discipline each passing year it seems. I joined the CR Society today because I want to have the support of other like minded individuals with the same health focused goal where food consumption is concerned. My Dad died of Cancer and my Mother's side from Heart disease. I am wellness focused. I want to proactively decrease my risk factors by eating a nutritionally sound diet, 360 days of the year. (yes, 5 days of holiday or birthday cheating) I am a Whole Foods and Farmer's Market buyer to ensure organically fresh food products. I invite any member of this CR Society who wants to support and be supported with this personal healthy eating goal to reach out so we can do this together. It is NOT easy to make good food choices every meal of every day. We need to stick together. I am glad I found this organization. Please be in touch if you are interested in more of a one on one or group support process. Linda Link to comment
