Email Notification Options

Based on email list comments, I wanted to look at options for getting copies of posts here sent to email. This is the description of the option:

 

Include a copy of the post when emailing me from a watched topic

Enabling this option will send a plain text version of the post in the watched topic email.

 

To activate

1) Click your user name (upper-right corner) and select "My Settings"

 

2) In "Settings", click "Notification Options" (left-hand side menu)

 

3) Click this feature on under "Notification Preferences"

 

I'll report how it works in another post.

Well it worked as I received an email regarding Bob's new post. The portion of the post which was text is in bold below.:

You can unsubscribe at any time by logging into your control panel and clicking on the "Manage Watched Forums" link in the "Forums" tab.

If you are not subscribed to any forums and wish to stop receiving notification, uncheck the setting

"Send me any updates sent by the board administrator" found in 'My Settings' under 'General Settings' in the "Settings" tab.
